BVM(USN) heroes brought laurels to their institution as Mohit Singh Rawat (captain), Akshay Kanda, Amrit Sharma, Gurwinder Khera got selected for State Level Handball Championship. B.V.M Handball team rang the bells of glory by grabbing second position in Open Distt. Handball Championship U/17 Boys, organized by Punjab Sports Department, held at Govt. Model Sen. Sec. School P.A.U on 3rd and 4th September. The zealous handballers paved their path of victory by beating Kindergarten Public Sen. Sec. School, Samrala by 10-4 in Quarter Final. In the Semi Final, they beat International Public School, Sandhu Nagar Ludhiana by 13-8.
Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi lauded the outstanding achievement of the sports stars as well as the strenuous efforts put in by Mr. Baljit Singh Gill, Mr. Sanjeev and Mr. Sukhwinder (Physical Education Department). She honoured the players – Akshay Kanda, Mohit Singh Rawat (Captain), Ritansh Sood, Ravi Kant, Vinod Kumar, Karandeep Singh, Dinesh Dhall, Gurwinder Khera and Gursahib Singh, with silver medals and extended her best wishes for upcoming state level championship.
